In an non-political note, the French finished the world’s tallest bridge in the Tarn Valley. This is truly a magnificent piece of architecture that I am planning to go visit in the next year. This is a perfect example of the European ability to integrate architectural feats with artistic ingenuity. The design of the bridge is utterly breathtaking, even in the few photographs that I have looked through.

When it comes to art I try not to bash based on nationality, but America, my home sweet home, I fear has forgotten the required elegance of truly outstanding architecture. Forgotten, may be the wrong word, seeing as though we may have never had any in the first. For the most part, America’s infrastructure is very utilitarian (alright the Golden Gate Bridge is a counter example, but oh that orange!) So remember, use your vacation time to go visit the Tarn Valley in southern France. It’ll take your breath away, you’ll see a modern marvel, and giving to the French tourism industry is a small protest against the Bushies!
