The GOP delays justice one more time

Tommy boy Delay seems to have gotten what he wants again. Just like Caesar Augustus he has had the senate rewrite the rules, so that he can stay in power. How are we standing around and watching this with any sort of acceptance. Delay, who is subject to indictment, would have lost his leadership post if he would have been indicted. This rule was created by GOPers about 20 years ago, but now that Tommy boy may be a victim of their own guillotine the rules have changed. Delay may be called in front of the Texas Grand Jury at any time, so we can all see the very apparent corruption.

The Republican party does not even pretend to play by the rules any longer, and have given up any guile they may have had for a new sort of despicable hubris. I truly hope their arrogance is visible to all of the American public. How can we stand around and let these assholes break the law time and again, and continue to stand as members of the ruling class.

  1. I live in a Red State, Right next door to the Hon. Rep. Delay’s home state, as a matter of fact. So I understand that the Blue States don’t understand us. Just to clarify some things for you liberal blue-staters—- you see, lying, embezzlement, and the willful undermining of our democracy are perfectly allright as long as they are used in the effort to keep Jesus in the classroom, the gay community in the closet, and bombs dropping on brown people. You Blue Staters might see some parrallel between the electoral college results and state-by-state education scores (Louisana – 46th in education, 9 electoral votes for Bush). Or between Bush-supporting states and the states and territories that supported slavery in the 1860s. Well, I for one am horrified about the liberal media’s…. Fuck it. I’m moving to Canada.

  2. What is the GOP supposed to do when it’s faced with activist DAs and activist grand juries who have obviously run amuck trying to throw the GOP leaders in jail? They should stick to dealing with the real serious crimes such as kids riding skateboards and smoking joints.
