Today a friend passed this little article over to me. Allow me to quote you the first paragraph:
Allow me to respond to the mother with a very loud and very clear FUCK YOU. Yes yes, your boys like to dress in drag; It is really not that big of a deal. I am sure most of them look a thousand more times more fabulous than you do in your American Flag sweatshirt and elastic-waist jeans. Oh and guess what else, some of them may be gay, or love to jerk off in the showers, or lo and behold have sex with women! Cross-dressing for spirit days is not a promotion of drag queens, believe me, most drag queens would rip these boys’ apart if they were around to judge this spectacle.
And if you keep reading the article you will see they switched cross-dressing day to camouflage day, something which seems very appropriate for the times. Like many of you I can actually remember these “theme” days in High School, and I actually dressed in drag once my sophomore year (I turned the heads of a few football players too, if I recall). Though spirit days are drastically annoying, people still have the right to make a fool of themselves, and stopping blaming your kids’ problems on queer people.
