Europe 2023 – Conclusion

I’ve been to Europe some, but not a lot. I learned how to travel in South America, so I’ve never done a ton of tourism there. This trip changed all of that. Athens is a living museum, and Paris is the City of Lights. Athens was my very own TARDIS, taking me to the ancient world but also taking me to be 20 years old and trying to learn everything I could about the Ancient world. Without taking one step into the Louvre, I saw more art and found more artists than I could have even imagined.

I am so lucky to be able to go on a trip like this, and I am so thankful I have Samer as my traveling partner. We traveled splendidly together, and it was really nice for him to show off some of his favorite parts of Paris. There’s no doubt that we were sick, and that affected the trip, but we made the best of it.

I wanted to not love Paris, so many people have told me, “The worst part of France is Paris.” It was recommended that I leave it as soon as possible and see other French cities. It felt cliche to fall in love with Paris, and I totally did. I loved it and am already thinking about how to sneak back for long weekends in the near future.
