Hell with my phone.

For almost a week my phone has been ringing non-stop. People from western Pennsylvania have been calling me and saying, “Hello. Who are you? I missed your call.” It took me a few times to figure it out, but it seems that a phone spammer is using my phone as the caller ID display in a robo call.

I have not heard the robo call, but someone told me it was about taxes. Most of the people who call me back, tell me they missed the call, so they do not know what the call was about.

Here is the thing, I know that this is possible. I have set up robo calls for political campaigns, and I know you do not need to prove ownership of the number. It’s one field in the system. I do not know if this robo call administrator picked a random number, mistyped their intended number, or are being malicious toward me, but this is getting really old.

I had my work contact AT&T and they say that there is no way to fix this problem. I would need to change my phone number. I’ve had this number for over a decade, so I do not plan on doing that right now.

I’ve always hated phones.
