So now they have caught a third reporter. It is all coming out now, the liberal media does not exist because the right wing lunatics own the media. Three reporters (used very loosely) has been caught whoring out their pulpits to the Bushies. Today we found out Michael McManus got caught accepting money from the government to promote marriage. Is it just me, or is it odd that the last two that have been caught were paid off on marriage issues. I mean what an insignificant focus. The Bushies have a real problem with Iraq and they are wasting time to promote marriage? I cannot even imagine how much they have paid to promote liberation.
Now we must ask the question, are they any more real journalists in the mainstream media? I do not know if Seymour Hersch or Greg Palast are counted as mainstream, but they are actually doing the job a reporter is asked.
Back to the point of frustration; how are we just standing around and hearing about literal government propaganda and not becoming outraged. I do not understand, I mean they are not even hiding it from us. W says:
- I expect my Cabinet secretaries to make sure that that practice doesn’t go forward.
- Fuck, we got caught.
- There needs to be a nice, independent relationship between the White House and the press, the administration and the press. So, no, we shouldn’t be going for it.
- Nice means cozy, which means, the reporters are charging too much. And ummm …. going for what?
- All our Cabinet secretaries must realize that we will not be paying commentators to advance our agenda. Our agenda ought to be able to stand on its own two feet.
- It’s not W’s fault it is the cabinet’s fault for these unfortunate circumstances. And well that whole agenda thing, yeah I would imagine it is presidential prerogative to develop an agenda that can stand by itself, which is subtle proof on how shoddy all of these cockamamie schemes really are.
What did we learn today? There is no press any more, they are all schilling for the government in a setup that would make Joseph Goebbels proud, and the President is an idiot. Alright, we didn’t learn anything new today.
