Time is winding down. I leave Rome tomorrow to head back to the west. I will be flying in to Toronto and having an overnight lay over. So you will see no more posts until Monday.
Today, I went to see Ostia. This was huge! It was tons of ruins, just so many I can’t explain, totally mammoth. This is Rome’s old port city and it was really kewl. I woke up about 7.15 and took the metro and a train out to the burbs of Rome to explore it until after lunch. Some old Italian men must think I am crazy, because they caught me practicing my Italian on some dogs at Ostia. They grumbled and walked away.
Then it was back to Rome for one final stroll. I walked through the Circus Maximus, up through Trastevere, bast the Travi Fountain and I finally rested on the Spanish Steps. I picked up the appropriate souveniors on the way, and no I am beat. It was an early day, a lot of walking and I have a flight tomorrow.
Well I am off to get one last plate of pasta and then catch some sleep. I cannot wait to talk to you all soon, and Anthony if you are reading this email me your cell. I will call you when I get through customs.
Arrivederci!
